Our Race


Communities are often defined by their public space.  If this is so, then Newmarket is defined as a community on the move.

It has been the dream of many local citizens to have a walking, running, and cycling path from the northern to southern boundaries of Newmarket.  This past year, the dream has been realized when the Tom Taylor Trail was extended to just north of St. John’s Side Road in the south and Green Lane in the north.

The local running community has always embraced the trail. What better way to celebrate the trail’s completion than to run a complete circuit of the Tom Taylor Trail.

Come, celebrate the trail with us in the inaugural Tom Taylor Trail Ten Miler, or as The Race  Committee affectionately calls this event, the 4Tmiler.
